Patrick Henry`s Fight Against the British
Before the start of the revolutionary war, Patrick Henry knew that there was no hope for peace. He didnt want peace, either. He wanted freedom. Patrick Henry gave many speeches in hopes of convincing others to feel the same. An example of this is his his most well-known quote, "I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty, of give me death!" His speeches worked, and he soon picked up many freedom-seeking followers.
Patrick Henry didn`t just talk, however, and was a big help during the actuall war as well. He supplied George Washington with troops and equipment, and sent soldiers to Virginia to drive the British out of the Northwest. He was Governor at that time as well, wich gave him more responsibility. This shows just how dedicated Patrick Henry was to his country and beliefs.
